News

MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF)- Showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain will slowly move across North Alabama and southern Tennessee.

Rain will continue to slide east of the area this evening and early overnight. Rainfall totals by Monday morning will be in the 1-3" range.

A flash flood watch is in effect until late this evening.

The breezy winds will also die down overnight as temperatures hold fairly steady. Monday will start near 50°, cloudy, but dry. Some breaks in the clouds are possible by Monday afternoon as temperatures climb near 60°.

More rain showers move in Tuesday into Wednesday morning followed by cooler air.  Valentine's Day will be cool, with highs in the low to mid 50s, under a mix of sun and clouds.  Much colder air looks to arrive by the weekend.
