Apartment fire leaves 2 homeless
MADISON, AL (WAFF)- Fire damaged units at a Madison apartment complex early Wednesday morning.
The fire started around 3:30 a.m. at the Lexington Apartments on Royal Drive. Firefighters saw heavy smoke coming from one of the units when they arrived.
They had the fire under control within 20 minutes.
Crews treated one person at the scene for smoke inhalation.
The fire displaced two people.
Officials said the fire started in the kitchen but are still working to determine the cause.
