HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF)- The FBI confirmed the serial bank robber nicknamed the "Ball Cap Bandit" could be connected to other holdups in the Southeast.

Authorities accused him of attempting to rob a bank in Cullman last week and robbing a bank in Rogersville the following day.

He's wanted in connection with other bank robberies in Tennessee and Alabama.

WTVA, our sister station in Tupelo, sent a photo of a bank robbery in that area from March. WTVA pointed out a similar description in that robbery and the fact he handed the teller a note before taking off out the front door.

The FBI claims to always look at other surrounding robberies to try and identify a possible connection.

Authorities have attempted to locate a person of interest from Madison County over the last few days. Investigators won't confirm if it is the Ball Cap Bandit but said they want to talk to him about the robberies.
