Madison Hospital Breast Center  earns ACR accreditation

 

Madison Hospital Breast Center has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in mammography as the result of a recent review by the American College of Radiology (ACR). The facility is located on the second floor of the Progress Bank building on Highway 72, just east of the Madison Hospital campus.

The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting ACR Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field.

2nd annual 'Medi Gras Bash' to benefit Madison Hospital

Proceeds from the second Annual Medi Gras Bash will benefit the new Madison Hospital Breast Center.

The event is planned for February 9 at the Jackson Center at HudsonAlpha.

The New Orleans-themed party will include a cocktail hour, casual New Orleans buffet, live music and a silent auction.

Huntsville, AL (WAFF) - LifeSouth is sounding the alarm - they need blood donations, and they need them soon.

The company is in the grips of an emergency shortage that's now stretched out over a week and a half. They've been asking for help for several days, and there has been a response, but LifeSouth Vice President J.B. Bowles says now is the time to fill the tanks. . "Our goal is to have our hospitals fully stocked and for us to have a five to seven-day supply of all blood types to resupply them. We haven't reached that, yet.
