Huntsville/Madison County Chamber announces 2011 Small Business Awards winners

The Chamber of Commerce of Huntsville/Madison County hosted its 26th Small Business Awards Ceremony Thursday night at the Von Braun Center North Hall. The event was presented by Regions.

The Finalists were:

For Government Contracting Services, the winner was Avion Solutions, Inc.

For Business/Professional Services, the winner was Cyn Shea's Complete Catering.

For Technology Services, the winner was GATR Technologies.

For Non-Profit, the winner was Choose Life of North Alabama.

For Young Professional of the Year, the winner was Natalie Hasley of Bama Jammer, Inc.

And the Russell Brown Executive Leadership Award winner was Paul Gierow of GATR Technologies.

Congratulations to each and every winner of this year's Small Business Awards!

Madison Hospital begins hiring process

Madison Hospital begins hiring process

Madison Hospital is still under construction but already starting to fill its ranks.

The hospital has posted three managerial positions on its website. More jobs will soon follow.

Once finished, Madison Hospital will be a full-service hospital with 60 beds.

The hospital is on-track to open in February of next year. It's expected to bring about 300 jobs to the area.

20 years later

Friday marked the 20th birthday of Cornerstone Pediatrics in Madison. The doctors and staff showed there appreciation to all of their patients and family's with a big birthday bash at the practice located on Will Halsey Way.

There was face painting, balloons, a ventriloquist, Madison fire rescue, HEMSI, and more.  Madison fire was there spraying the kids with water to help fight the heat (which was brutal)

Dine, dance and donate for Christmas charities year round!  Christmas Charities year round will hold its anniversary dinner July 30th at 7pm.

The event will be held at J's special Occasions event center at 5080 Meridian Street in Huntsville. 

There will be a silent auction where you can bid for an Alabama Crimson Tide autographed by Coach Nick Saban, Disney World themed park tickets-4 one-day park hopper passes, fine art, a Hilton Head Island vaction getaway and much more.
