MARF Pets of the Week

MARF Pets of the Week

This week's featured pets from MARF are Sabrina and Holly.

Sabrina is a beautiful Senior Dachshund. Her favorite thing to do is sitting in someone's lap for as long as she can. She is very docile, loving & isn't bothered by other dogs or cats. Sabrina would probably do better in a calm environment.

Many people consider their dogs as best friends, but hospital records suggest some pooches feel otherwise.

Each year, approximately 4.5 million people in the United States are bitten by dogs, with some bites needing emergency treatment. Over a 16-year period, in fact, the number of hospital admissions caused by dog bites nearly doubled, increasing from 5,100 in 1993 to 9,500 in 2008, according to a recent report by the U.S. Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.

Looking for a pet? You found the right place!

Buttercup is an affectionate, buff-colored male cat with long hair. He's very timid until he feels comfortable with new people. If you don't reach for him, he will get in your lap and snuggle against you. He loves other cats, as long as they aren't too aggressive. Buttercup is a gentle, sweet cat who needs a patient family that will let him take his time getting to know you.

Coal is a 9 month old Lab mix. He loves to play with everyone, dogs, cats and children. Coal needs daily walks and playtime because he has lots of energy. He weighs close to 70 pounds, so he needs to be supervised when playing with small children. He's well behaved and wants to his owner! He walks great on a leash and is house and crate crate trained.

Ranger is a 7 year old bird dog/spaniel mix. He's very calm and laidback. Ranger is great with other dogs, cats and children.
